Cookie Policy

Every cookie, every local storage entry, every tracking technology. Transparent and exhaustive. Last reviewed: 20 June 2026

Detailed Cookie Inventory

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser to remember information between page loads or visits. We also use the browser Local Storage API, which is similar but stays on the device. Both are governed by this policy. Under LGPD Art. 5 IV and GDPR Art. 4 (1), online identifiers such as cookies may constitute personal data when they can be linked to an identifiable person.

2. What We Use

We use the following categories: (a) strictly necessary cookies, which are required for the website to function (language preference, authentication, security); (b) analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it; (c) marketing cookies, which would allow us to deliver personalised advertising (we do NOT currently use any marketing cookies; this category is reserved for future use). You can opt-in to analytics via our cookie banner; marketing remains off by default. You can change your choices at any time via "Cookie settings" in the footer.

3. Strictly Necessary Cookies (always on)

quantivus_lang (1 year, SameSite=Lax, first party): stores your selected interface language (en, de, pt). quantivus_consent (1 year, SameSite=None;Secure on HTTPS / SameSite=Lax on HTTP, first party): stores your cookie consent preferences (analytics on/off). quantivus_identity / .AspNetCore.Identity.Application / .AspNetCore.Antiforgery.* (session, SameSite=None;Secure on HTTPS, first party): ASP.NET Core Identity authentication and CSRF protection cookies set when you log in to the client portal. These cookies are strictly necessary and do not require consent under LGPD Art. 7 IX (legitimate interest in operating the service) and GDPR Art. 6 (1) (f) and Recital 49.

4. Analytics Cookies (consent required)

We do not currently set any third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or Matomo). Our analytics are implemented as a privacy-friendly first-party beacon to /api/analytics/track (see quantivus_session storage below). When this changes we will update this policy and the cookie banner. Until then, the analytics category remains a placeholder that lets us load or unload the beacon script via the data-consent-category attribute on the script tag.

5. Local Storage Entries

quantivus_cookie_consent (localStorage, 1 year, first party): JSON object with your detailed cookie choices ({ essential, analytics, marketing, version, timestamp }). quantivus_session (sessionStorage, session, first party): optional UI state (sidebar collapsed, current tab in admin). Theme preference (localStorage): the dark/light theme you selected. Language preference (localStorage): mirrors the quantivus_lang cookie for faster startup.

6. Service Worker and Cache

We register a Service Worker (service-worker.js) so that the website can be installed as a Progressive Web App. The Service Worker uses the Cache Storage API to store static assets locally on your device for offline access. No personal data is stored in the Cache. You can unregister the Service Worker at any time via your browser's site settings.

7. Third Party Content Embedded on Our Pages

Currently we do not embed any third party widgets that would set cookies (no YouTube embeds, no Google Maps, no Facebook Pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no Hotjar, no Intercom). All visible content on quantivus.io is served from our own infrastructure. If we add such content in the future, we will update this policy and request your renewed consent.

8. How Long Do Cookies Last?

Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies (quantivus_lang, quantivus_consent) have a maximum lifetime of 365 days, in line with the maximum interval recommended by the European Data Protection Board (EDPB) Guidelines 05/2020 on consent. After 365 days we re-prompt you via the cookie banner.

9. How to Manage Cookies

You can manage your choices via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page, which reopens our banner. You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge all support this). Please note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will impair website functionality (e.g. language preference will not be remembered). For the privacy friendly analytics beacon, blocking JavaScript or using private browsing mode will effectively disable it.

10. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals. When your browser sends a GPC or DNT header, our cookie banner will treat analytics and marketing as denied by default and will not load any non-essential scripts. The cookie banner UI will not appear in that case.

11. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We will update this policy whenever we add, remove or change a cookie or local storage entry. The "Last reviewed" date at the top will be updated accordingly. Material changes will be notified to you via a banner on the website and, where you have an email address with us, by email.
